Our Bottarga cream with pistachio nuts has a unique flavour. It is made from cured tuna roe that is rubbed with sea salt and left to dry using an ancient technique. Then we blend it and season it with sicilian pistachio nuts, extra-virgin olive oil, Syracuse IGP lemon peel and a pinch of red pepper. Excellent on toasted bread or for seasoning pasta dishes.
Fish roe is a rich source of iron, vitamin D, A and B12. Whereas, pistachio nuts are high in Vitamin E, especially tocopherol, which helps protect the cardiovascular system.
